Relevance of the work. Today, it is increasingly clear that humanity develops through the interconnectedness and interdependence of different countries, peoples and cultures. Cultures with different histories, traditions, languages and religions develop, interact and exert mutual influence through intercultural exchange. This process of increasing interdependence has both positive and negative aspects. Cultural differences affect attitudes to different issues and lead to clashes and conflicts in particular.
The existence of the national language as a form of national culture is largely due to the fact that the language system fulfils the most important cumulative function of language, the function of displaying, preserving and transmitting information about objective reality. In this case, it is logical that translators face many problems when translating various types of text into another language, including computer games.
The given work is relevant, because the source language text often contains words with no equivalent for concrete realities, and to translate them correctly, precisely and adequately, one needs to know all grammatical and lexical features of their transformation and be able to apply them in practice. Familiarity with such a phenomenon as an audiovisual text of a video game expands the cultural potential and knowledge of the translator, which is necessary to make an adequate translation.
Methods of the study include analytical and synthetic methods, comparative analysis, systematisation and classification, generalisation.
The objective of this work was to use the Horizon Zero Dawn example to identify the grammatical and lexical features of translations of video game language material. In line with the objective, the following research tasks were developed and consistently addressed:
1. To consider the concept of equivalence in translation and methods for achieving it;
2. To highlight main translation transformations and their classification;
3. To observe strategies and tactics of video game translation;
4. To describe the main lexical and grammar transformations of the Horizon Zero Dawn videogame text in Russian translation;
5. To conduct a comparative analysis of the information received;
6. To describe how the collected data can be applied in lexicology, translation theory and stylistics.
The object of the work is non-equivalent language units of English. The subject is the grammatical and lexical features of the English non-equivalent language material of the computer game Horizon Zero Dawn when translated into Russian.
The research is based on the problem of analyzing the linguistic nature of the concepts of "equivalence", "correspondence" and their elements, as well as in the general classification of the most effective and modern ways of translating non-equivalent language material in audiovisual discourse, using the example of a computer game.
In the context of the work, such authors as I.S. Akopyan, N.D. Aleshina, L.S. Barkhudarov, V.P. Belyanin, L.V. Bubleinik, L.L. Bukreeva, L. Venuti, A.A. Vitulova, I.A. Deineko, T.V. Drobyshev was studied.
The material under research includes 80 units of the language material of the game Horizon Zero Dawn, which succumbed to lexical or grammatical transformation when translated into Russian.
The study consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of references and an appendix.

Заключение:

Modern linguistics is characterised by a certain kind of expansionism - an open and active entry into the relevant scientific fields. This is partly related to the fact that reality as understood by modern consciousness offers many facts and phenomena that cannot be understood and described from the perspective of a narrow discipline. The legitimacy of linguistics and culture as an integrated science makes it possible to consider the borderline phenomena of mental culture. The expansion of the observed composition of linguistic phenomena and the promotion of modern studies of human-cultural interaction have led to an interest in song texts.
The question of the details of a particular type of text only holds true in addition to the analytical operation of studying the structure of the text, its functional details and its integration with higher-level texts (into discourse). In this sense, the study of song texts is both particularly difficult and particularly interesting. There are whole sets of texts (which, in addition to songs, can include countless dramatic genres: advertisements, films, television, etc., and of course an equal number of non-fiction texts), i.e. linguistic elements, components that are integrated into more complex multi-symbolic texts: songs, dramatic works, films, clips, etc.
Just as 'texts are polygons of words, sentences and other linguistic units' which 'express their structural, functional and meaningful qualities', so too must the polygons of linguistic devices be used in the text itself, so that it can 'reveal "itself'. We are talking about the highest linguistic level of the composite text - the cultural level, which according to the Tartu school of symbolism is defined as the text (hypertext, text over text, discourse).
Culture is not traditionally included in the study of linguistic objects; it is the domain of cultural studies and symbolism. However, cultural studies is compatible with texts because 'culture usually exists in the form of texts - symbolic works of human mental activity'. It is at the textual level that cultural studies and linguistics intersect, leading to the emergence of a new linguistic discipline, cultural linguistics.
The linguistic and cultural approach to the study of texts is first and foremost a functional approach: the text is considered to be the most important functional unit in culture. We are interested in the structural units of a text (the lower levels of language) because they are involved in the creation of the text and therefore perform a cultural function. Thus, cultural linguistics begins with the linguistic system and moves towards culture. Here, at the cultural level, it becomes possible to attribute cultural functions to linguistic units through semantic functions.
By analysing the definitions of the concepts of "reciprocity" and "non-reciprocity" that exist in translation studies, we have come to the following conclusions about the linguistic status of these terms.
1) that non-reciprocal terms reflect the culture, traditions and characteristics of a given language.
2) that such terms are relative and that pure forms are rare
3) non-equivalence presents certain difficulties in translation due to the semantic features and ethnocultural overtones listed.
Typically, translators face two main difficulties in conveying reality.
1) the fact that the actual situation of the object referred to shows that there is no equivalent in the target language because of the lack of native speakers of that language

CHAPTER 1. THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE STUDY
1.1 The Concept of “Equivalence” in Translation and Methods of Achieving it
In any language system, non-equivalents have an important place. They are the cultural components of the meaning of words. Without an understanding of the nature and characteristics of these lexical positions, it is impossible to translate texts accurately from one language to another. The Cambridge English Dictionary gives the following definition of the term 'equivalence': "It is something that is the same in quantity, value, purpose, quality, etc." [46].
According to the linguist Ya.I. Retzker, equivalence is a context-independent correspondence. Equivalence is also a 'catalyst for the translation process' and can be complete, partial, absolute and relative [27, p. 13-15].
The lack of equivalence is associated with words that are closely related to the culture of a particular language (or realia). It is important to note that inequivalence occurs for several reasons.
1. No object in one language's culture that exists in another language's culture.
2. No object in one language's culture that exists in another language's culture.
3. The subject matter in one language has a purely local character.
4. No corresponding definition of the subject in the target language.
5. The lexical and semantic features of certain lexical units in the source and target languages are different [10, p. 2].
There are two main problems with the phenomenon under consideration for translation.
1. There may be no corresponding equivalent in the target language because there is no object in the language that refers to a non-equivalent unit.
2. The native speaker may not have a suitable lexical unit for non-equivalents .
Since it is not possible to transfer all the functions of the original text, it is sufficient to ensure that the recipient of the translation reacts to it in a relatively
